  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine) Use your favorite type of pasta.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil For sautéing the garlic.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste preference.
  • 2 cups milk Substitute with non-dairy milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated Freshly grated is recommended for the best flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season according to taste.
  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional) Adds a fresh touch.

Cooking
  1. In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the milk and bring it to a simmer.
  4. Add the pasta, stirring to combine, and continue to simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked to your liking, about 10-12 minutes.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm on the stove and add a splash of milk to restore creamy texture. You can add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for a heartier dish.
