Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the bread slices in the baking dish.
- Top the bread with ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese.
- Add the remaining bread slices on top.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Pour the egg mixture over the layered sandwich.
- Allow it to soak for about 15 minutes.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the custard is set and the top is golden.
- Dust with additional powdered sugar and serve with warm jam.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat individual portions in the microwave or oven until heated through. This casserole pairs well with fresh fruits or a light salad.
