Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add in the milk, egg, melted butter, and maple syrup. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Cook your sausage patties in a skillet until they are browned. Drain any excess grease and flatten them slightly.
- Scramble or fry the eggs according to your preference.
Assembly
- Spoon a layer of muffin batter into each muffin cup.
- Add a sausage patty, a portion of egg, and half a slice of cheese on top of the batter.
- Cover with additional batter until each muffin cup is just filled.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and puffed.
- Let the muffins cool slightly before taking them out of the tin and serving.
Notes
Serve warm for the best flavor! These can be enjoyed as is or with a drizzle of extra maple syrup or hot honey. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
