- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced onions and sauté until they are translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
- Once the beef is cooked, reduce heat to low and add the shredded provolone cheese on top. Cover the skillet until the cheese melts.
- Toast the hoagie rolls, then fill them with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
You can add extra toppings like pickles, hot peppers, or additional sautéed onions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in a skillet or microwave. Store the filling and rolls separately to prevent sogginess.
