  • 2 tbsp Rice vinegar Adds brightness to the sauce.
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh for a sharp flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, grated Fresh or ground for warmth.
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil For a toasty flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Green onions, sliced For garnish.
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds Optional for garnish.

Preparation
  1. Slice chicken into bite-size pieces and pat dry. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.
  2. Sear chicken until browned on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and cornstarch until smooth.
  4. Pour sauce into the pan and stir with the chicken. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer until thick and glossy, about 2-3 minutes.
Finishing Touch
  1. Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Pat chicken dry to ensure even browning. Avoid overcrowding the pan to achieve better results. Adjust the sweetness and acidity of the sauce according to your taste.
