  • 250 ml tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pieces burger buns to serve

  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook onion and green bell pepper for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 6–8 minutes.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  7. Serve the sloppy joe mixture on toasted burger buns.
