  • 300 g elbow macaroni
  • 1 (100 g) onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 400 ml tomato sauce
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 200 g cheddar cheese, shredded

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, stirring continuously.
  4. Stir in the tomato sauce, beef broth, chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Combine the beef mixture with the cooked macaroni, stirring until it's well mixed.
  7. Top the mac with shredded cheddar cheese and cover to let it melt.

Notes

Serve hot with toppings like sour cream, green onions, or extra cheese. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
