  • 500 g beef strips Use tender cuts like sirloin or tenderloin.
  • 100 g onion Chopped.
  • 200 g mushrooms Sliced.
  • 15 g butter For cooking the beef and vegetables.
  • 200 ml beef broth
  • 150 ml sour cream For creaminess.
  • 15 g mustard
  • 8 g flour To thicken the sauce.
  • 5 g salt
  • 1 g pepper
  • 250 g noodles For serving.

Preparation
  1. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and sear until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook until softened and lightly browned.
  3. Sprinkle the flour over the onion and mushroom mixture. Stir well to combine.
  4. Gradually pour in the beef broth while stirring. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes, until thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in the mustard and sour cream, mixing until smooth.
  6. Return the seared beef to the skillet. Stir everything together and let it heat through for a few minutes.
  7. Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked noodles.

Notes

For serving, garnish with fresh parsley or chives. This dish pairs well with steamed vegetables or a crisp salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
