Ingredients

  • 1 slice slice of bread Use a sturdy bread for best results.
  • 1 egg egg Crack gently for a runny yolk if desired.
  • 1 slice slice of cheese Use your preferred cheese type.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
Optional Toppings
  • avocado Can be added as a topping.
  • spinach Fresh spinach can be used as a topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the slice of bread in the air fryer basket.
  3. Crack an egg on top of the bread and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place a slice of cheese on top of the egg.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for about 5-7 minutes, or until the egg is cooked to your liking and the cheese is melted.
Serving
  1. Serve hot on a plate with your choice of toppings and enjoy your breakfast!
Storage
  1. Cool any leftovers, then wrap in foil or store in an airtight container. Keep in the fridge for up to 1 day.
  2. Reheat in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to keep the toast crisp.

Notes

Use a sturdy bread to hold the egg and watch the cheese melt to avoid burning the toast. Optionally, you can add cooked bacon or ham and other toppings like herbs after cooking.
