Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces firm bananas Use firm, slightly green bananas for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (or vegetable oil) Coconut oil adds a mild flavor, but any light vegetable oil can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar Brown sugar can be used for a richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Add a pinch of salt for a sweet-salty taste if desired.

Method

Preparation
  1. Peel the bananas and slice them into even, thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).
  2. In a mixing bowl, toss the banana slices with melted coconut oil to coat lightly.
  3. In another bowl, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over each slice.
  2. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through cooking to ensure even crisping.
  3. Allow the chips to cool on a wire rack or plate before serving; they will become crispier as they cool.

Notes

Do not crowd the basket; cook in batches if needed. Watch the last few minutes closely to avoid burning. Let chips cool fully before storing to keep them crunchy.
