Welcome to Recipelio
These terms and conditions outline the rules for using our website. I’ve tried to write this in straightforward language while still covering the important legal stuff.
By using recipelio.com, you’re agreeing to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, you shouldn’t use the site. Simple as that.
Acceptance of Terms
When you access or use Recipelio (the website, email newsletters, or any associated content), you’re agreeing to be bound by these Terms & Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer.
If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. I mean that genuinely—these terms exist to protect both of us, and they only work if we’re both on the same page.
Changes to terms: I may update these terms occasionally. When I do, I’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. If changes are major, I’ll notify email subscribers.
Use of Content
What You Can Do
All content on Recipelio—recipes, articles, photos, tips—is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. Here’s what that means in practice:
You CAN:
- Cook any recipe for yourself, your family, or friends
- Print recipes for your own use
- Share links to recipes on social media
- Save recipes for personal reference
- Use recipes in your home, even if you’re occasionally selling baked goods at a bake sale or similar small-scale situation
You CAN’T:
- Copy entire recipes and publish them on your own website or blog (linking to them is fine, copying them word-for-word is not)
- Use our content in commercial products without permission (like in a cookbook you’re selling)
- Claim our recipes as your own original work
- Remove copyright notices or attribution
- Use our photos without permission
Attribution & Sharing
If you want to share a recipe:
- Link back to the original recipe on Recipelio
- You can share a brief description or excerpt, but include a link for the full recipe
- Don’t copy the entire recipe—drive people to the original source
Why this matters: Creating content takes significant time and testing. When you link rather than copy, it helps Recipelio continue creating free content for everyone.
Intellectual Property
All content on Recipelio—including recipes, photos, articles, design, and the Recipelio name—is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
What this means: I (Lio Marin) or Recipelio own the rights to everything on this site unless otherwise noted. You’re licensed to use it for personal purposes (as described above), but ownership remains with us.
Recipe formats: While I can’t copyright ingredients lists (that’s just a list of items), the specific expression of the recipe—the detailed instructions, tips, photos, and how it’s all put together—is copyrighted.
User Contributions
Comments
When you leave comments on recipes or articles, you’re responsible for what you write. Here’s the deal:
You agree to:
- Be respectful and kind to me and other community members
- Not post spam, advertisements, or promotional content
- Not share harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Not impersonate others or provide false information
- Not violate anyone’s privacy or intellectual property rights
What happens to your comments:
- By posting a comment, you grant Recipelio permission to display it on the site
- You retain ownership of your comment content
- I reserve the right to moderate, edit, or remove comments that violate these terms
- I’m not responsible for comments left by users—those are their views, not mine
Recipe Modifications & Submissions
If you share a modified version of a recipe in the comments or submit your own recipe ideas:
- You’re giving permission for others to see and potentially try your modifications
- You confirm that you have the right to share what you’re submitting
- I might feature your modification with credit to you
- You retain rights to your original contributions
Disclaimers & Limitations
Recipe Results
I test every recipe multiple times, but here’s the reality:
Results may vary based on:
- Your specific air fryer model and its quirks
- Ingredient variations (brand, freshness, size)
- Altitude and humidity where you’re cooking
- Your personal cooking skills and experience
- How precisely you follow the recipe
I can’t guarantee that every recipe will turn out perfectly for you every time. I provide the best instructions I can based on my testing, but cooking involves variables I can’t control.
Food Safety
While I include food safety guidance based on current recommendations:
You are responsible for following proper food safety practices in your own kitchen, including:
- Washing hands and surfaces
- Cooking foods to safe temperatures
- Storing ingredients and leftovers properly
- Being aware of your own food allergies and restrictions
I’m not liable if you get sick from improper food handling or storage, undercooking food, or eating something you’re allergic to.
Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
I try to note common allergens in recipes, but:
- Always read ingredient labels yourself for allergens
- I can’t guarantee recipes are safe for your specific allergies
- Cross-contamination can occur in your kitchen or in ingredient processing
- “Gluten-free” or “dairy-free” recipes reflect my ingredient choices, but you must verify this matches your specific needs
If you have serious food allergies or medical dietary restrictions, please consult with your healthcare provider about recipes before trying them.
Nutritional Information
When provided, nutritional information is:
- An estimate based on ingredient databases and recipes as written
- Not verified by a nutritionist or medical professional
- Subject to variation based on specific ingredients used
- Not a substitute for professional dietary advice
Don’t rely on this for medical nutrition needs without verifying with your healthcare provider or registered dietitian.
No Professional Advice
The content on Recipelio is for informational and entertainment purposes only.
I’m a chef, not:
- A doctor or medical professional
- A registered dietitian or nutritionist
- A food safety inspector
- A legal or financial advisor
Don’t use this site as a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or health advice. If you have health conditions, dietary restrictions, or food-related medical questions, consult qualified healthcare professionals.
Third-Party Links
Recipelio may include links to other websites or resources (like where to buy specific air fryer models, ingredient suppliers, or related cooking resources).
Here’s what you need to know:
- I’m not responsible for the content or practices of linked sites
- These links don’t imply endorsement (unless I specifically say “I love this product”)
- Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy policies
- Sometimes links may be affiliate links (meaning I earn a small commission if you purchase—but this never affects what I recommend)

- Any injuries, damages, or losses resulting from using recipes or advice on this site
- Technical issues with the website (bugs, downtime, data loss)

- Actions taken by third parties
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Your use of this site is at your own risk. While I strive for accuracy and quality, I can’t be held responsible for every possible outcome.

By using Recipelio, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lio Marin and Recipelio from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the site

- Your violation of any rights of another person or entity

- Modify or discontinue the site or any features
You can terminate your use by simply stopping your visits to the site and unsubscribing from emails.

Subject line: “Terms Question”
I personally handle all inquiries and will respond as quickly as possible. These terms aren’t meant to be a barrier—they’re meant to set clear expectations so we can all enjoy sharing recipes without confusion.
The bottom line: Use the site respectfully, don’t steal content, understand that cooking has inherent variables, and know that I’m providing information but not professional advice. If you do that, we’ll get along great.
These terms apply to all use of recipelio.com and associated services.
