1 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp cayenne pepper

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

½ tsp dried thyme

½ tsp dried oregano

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

2. Pat chicken dry with paper towels for better seasoning adhesion.

3. Lightly coat chicken breasts with oil.

4. Mix blackened seasoning ingredients in a small bowl.

5. Rub the seasoning blend evenly over both sides of the chicken.

6. Place chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

8. Check internal temperature — it should reach 165°F (74°C).

9. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Reheat in air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes.

To freeze, wrap chicken tightly and store up to 2 months.

For a milder spice, reduce cayenne pepper by half.
